Nomination
Form
for
Spring 2013
Honoring the achievements of our diverse student populations at New Mexico State University is the driving force behind the Lavender Graduation Academic and Leadership Stole. Honoring diversity through the use of rainbow graduation stoles is a new tradition that was established for the Sexual and Gender Diversity Resource Center in the spring of 2010.
The Academic and Leadership Diversity Stoles are awarded to graduating students who are either Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Asexual, or Heterosexual, have excelled academically, and/or have displayed exemplary leadership qualities on campus or in the community. For a student to be fully considered for this honor, the nomination form provided below must be completed in full and submitted to the Sexual and Gender Diversity Resource Center. Nominees will be notified via email if awarded an Academic and Leadership Stole.
All nominees receiving a stole will be recognized at the Lavender Graduation Ceremony being held on April 19, 2013 at 5 p.m. at the NMSU Golf Course Club House. Nominators will be required to purchase their nominees ticket to the banquet. Tickets will be on sale starting April 1, 2013 at the Resource Center.
