The Experience

Balancing Economics and Ecology: NMSU’s Natural Resource Economics and Policy B.S. Integrates Natural Resource Economics, Water Resource Economics, Agricultural Policy, and Environmental Law

The NREP program integrates economics, environmental science, and policy analysis, equipping students with the skills to assess and manage natural resources effectively. Students engage in coursework and projects that apply economic principles to issues like land use, water resources, energy and environmental degradation.

The Bachelor of Science in Natural Resource Economics and Policy consists of 120 credits. To earn this degree, you need to complete all University degree requirements, which include General Education requirements, Viewing a Wider World requirements, and elective credits with 48 credits in courses numbered 300 or above.
