The animal science program provides industry relevant curriculum across two concentrations. Learn from highly trained faculty specializing in various aspects of the animal science industry, dedicated to providing high-quality instruction and real-world solutions. With a curriculum designed to provide both scientific knowledge and practical skills, our graduates are equipped to excel in the dynamic field of animal science.

The animal industry concentration includes courses that prepare you for work in many phases of the livestock industry, such as livestock production on farms and ranches, the meat industry, the feed industry, livestock breed associations and livestock publications.

Regardless of concentration, the Bachelor of Science in Animal Science consists of 120 credits. To earn this degree, you need to complete all University degree requirements, which include General Education requirements, Viewing a Wider World requirements, and elective credits with 48 credits in courses numbered 300 or above.
