The comprehensive Genetics and Biotechnology program at NMSU covers genetics at the DNA/gene/genome level, organism level and within/among populations, ensuring a well-rounded education. The Bachelor of Science in Genetics and Biotechnology consists of 120-122 credits. To earn this degree, you need to complete all departmental required courses including 31 credits in Tier I courses and 9-11 Tier II courses; and all University degree requirements, which include General Education requirements, Viewing a Wider World requirements and elective credits with 48 credits in courses numbered 300 or above.
