Geomatics is a rapidly developing engineering discipline that focuses on acquiring and analyzing precise spatial information. The Bachelor of Science in Geomatics at NMSU is designed to provide you with cutting-edge knowledge and skills to meet current industrial needs. 

In this program, you’ll learn the techniques and science of measuring the terrestrial and three-dimensional position of points on, above and below the earth’s surface. You’ll cover all the major disciplines of geomatics sciences and meet the educational requirements for registration as a Professional Land Surveyor.

Students enjoy applying advanced tools such as drones, laser scanners and GPS systems to solve real-world problems related to land boundaries, infrastructure, and natural resources. The Bachelor of Science in Geomatics program consists of 120 credits. To earn this degree, you need to complete all University degree requirements, which include General Education requirements, Viewing a Wider World requirements, and elective credits, with 48 credits in courses numbered 300 or above.
