The undergraduate major in sociology is broad in scope. It prepares students for various public and private sector employment opportunities, including market research, personnel management, data analytics, computational sociology, human relations, law enforcement, health services, etc. Students possess a strong interest in topics including social inequality, race, ethnicity, gender and the dynamics of communities. The BA in Sociology program consists of 120 credits. To earn this degree, you need to complete all University degree requirements, which include General Education requirements, Viewing a Wider World requirements, and elective credits, with 48 credits in courses numbered 300 or above.
