The Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Extension Education consists of 120 credits. To earn this degree, you need to complete a all departmental and all University degree requirements, which include General Education requirements, General Education requirements, Viewing a Wider World requirements, and elective credits with 48 credits in courses numbered 300 or above.

At least 19–22 hours must be in Agricultural, Consumer, and Environmental Sciences (ACES) and you must complete 18 hours in Journalism/Media Studies, Social Media Management or Strategic Communications.

Agricultural Education Teaching - Prepare to educate the next generation of agricultural professionals in middle and high school settings.
If you are seeking the teaching option degree, you must apply for admission into the teacher preparation program.
Requirements for Teaching Option Admission
- 45 hours of coursework complete
- Minimum of 2.5 GPA
- Completed AXED 2130
- A grade of 'C' or better in all professional studies courses
To earn this degree, you need to complete a minimum of 48 hours in technical agriculture for the secondary teaching certificate program in agriculture.

- AXED 4215 - Developing Excellent Programs in Career and Technical Education
- AXED 4220 - Methods for Teaching Agricultural and Technology Education
